Karen Loftus

Award-winning playwright, Tennessee Williams Fellow and international comedian Karen Loftus has traveled extensively through the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, entertaining expats, execs, US troops and theater savvy audiences with her comedy and solo shows. She took a wee break from comedy and touring, putting on the page what she once delivered onstage.

As a journalist, Karen found her definitive niche writing about travel, fashion and culinary and cocktail tourism. It was a coming home as her Irish grandparents ran many a famous pub, a speakeasy and distilled their own spirits. This fashion-forward foodie has parasailed, bungee jumped, 4 tracked and canyoneered, all in search of the highly spirited story.

Karen writes for a mad mix of outlets from regional to national and several international magazines, papers and wesbites. The only thing more intoxicating than a well made cocktail or a vintner visit is a new stamp on her passport.
